  1. Prior to the Online Exam Assessment
    1. This is an open book examination; conducted online.
    2. The PG Centre allows you during an open book examination, to use the module study materials and/or the module recommended book only (or as advised by your lecturer). You are not allowed to search the web for answers.
    3. Mobiles are only allowed to take pictures of your written answers (i.e. equations and graphs) but not allowed to be used to communicate with classmates nor search the web. Digital watches are not allowed during the exam.
    4. You are requested to get ready for the exam by fully charging your computer/phone batteries, checking your camera, and internet connection, before starting the exam.
    5. You must be available in front of your system 15 minutes before the start of the examination, join the meeting on Microsoft Teams and open your course account on Moodle to access the exam question.
    6. The invigilator will take the student attendance prior to the start of the exam (during the first 15 minutes mentioned in point 5).
    7. After the attendance is taken you will be instructed to mute your mic, but keep the camera switched on at all time and login to Moodle to access the assessment document.
    8. The exam session on Microsoft Teams will be recorded.
    9. On Moodle, the invigilator will upload the exam paper at the designated exam starting time and when s/he is ready to start (together with its usual cover page comprising the expected learning outcomes for every question) in Microsoft Word format and create an assignment upload link for you to upload the answer script (in MS Word format) at the end of the exam.
    10. In addition to emailing your answer script (in MS Word format) to [email protected], you will be required to upload your answer script on Moodle.
  1. During the Online Exam Assessment
    1. You should wait until the instruction, “You May Begin,” is given by the invigilator. This will take place once the invigilator has uploaded the exam on Moodle. After this instruction is given, you are allowed to start the exam.
    2. You must download the question paper from Moodle, save it on your desktop and answer the questions on Microsoft Word format.
    3. Your answers must be typed. Don’t forget to fill in your details in the cover page. Where the question involves a mathematical equation or graph, you can hand write those sections and attach them as images where appropriate within your answer script (which is in MS Word format).
    4. During the online exam you must at all time keep your camera switched ON (within the TEAMS software) in order to allow the invigilator to monitor your activities during the online exam period.
    5. No verbal questions will be allowed during the online assessment period, as this may create serious disturbances to the conduct of the exam.
    6. If you face a technical issue during the exam, you can ask the invigilator about it through the private chat(i.e. in writing form; not verbally/using your voice). No questions about the content of the exam are allowed either verbally or by writing in the public/private chats.
    7. You are strictly prohibited from writing or sharing anything in the public chat during the exam time.
    8. Any acts of cheating, or attempt to cheat, will be reported to the Academic Disciplinary Committee, and a disciplinary action will be taken against you after the exam has ended.
    9. Copy and pasting text from the web / books / or international regulatory reports is not allowed and content of this nature will not be credited with marks.
  1. End of the Online Exam Assessment
    1. When the instruction, “The Exam Has Ended, Stop Writing” is given by the invigilator, you will have only 15 additional minutes to do the following: 1) Start by emailing your answer script (in MS Word format) to [email protected]; 2) Then proceed to upload it also on Moodle using the upload link. Don’t upload first.
    2. Note: it is the student’s responsibility to upload or submit all the solution pages on Moodle and via email and no additional uploads or emails will be accepted after the 15 additional minutes.
