MGT723 Task 1 Checklist
Consider the following before submission:
Literature review summary (It is possible that some points will not apply to your argument)
Identified the seminal papers for Stakeholder Theory
Identified, defined and explained the key theoretical constructs of the theory
Discussed your dependent variable (DV) and summarised previous research
Developed your argument for the relationship between your Independent Variable (IV) and DV
Justified your choice of proxies, by logic or reference to previous research
Used the results of previous empirical results throughout to support (or challenge) your argument
The logic of your argument is clear and convincing
Provided your working hypothesis, which should be the clear conclusion from the argument that you have developed
Identified and justified an additional variable (CV, MoV or MeV)
Conceptual Model
Model is consistent with the working hypothesis
Dependent variable is clearly identified
Independent variable is clearly identified
The relationship between IV and DV is clear (an arrow, with arrowhead, in the right direction)
Additional variable is included and correctly shown given its proposed relationship (CV, MeV or MoV)
Proxy measures for theoretical constructs – table
Table is consistent with the literature review summary, hypothesis, and conceptual model
At least three variables (A DV, and IV and one other)
Theoretical constructs expressed in correct terms (a quoted definition and reference where possible)
Proxy measure for each theoretical construct
Correct identification of variables as DV, IV, or CV/MeV/MoV – consistent with conceptual model
Research Method
Described general strengths and weaknesses of survey method (references are important)
Considered the specific strengths and weaknesses of the CDP survey from which your data was derived
Discussed the implications of these specific strengths and weaknesses for the validity of your research
Spelling and Grammar
Conducted a spell check
Read, reread, and reread your work to be sure that the argument is clear and convincing with unambiguous language and correct grammar.
Technical and theoretical terms are used correctly
Referencing
NO ONE else’s words are used without quotation marks and a reference
References are used to support claims
References are correctly formatted
The post Used the results of previous empirical results throughout to support (or challenge) your argument
